Newport is the third largest city in Wales with a population of 145,736 (2011 Census). A university city, it occupies a strategic location between Cardiff and Bristol and benefits from a catchment of 500,000 within a 30 minute drive time.

In tandem with significant inward commercial investment, there has been substantial investment in significant arts and leisure facilities, with the new Riverfront theatre and arts centre hosting major cultural events, while Celtic Manor has hosted the 2010 Ryder Cup and more recently, major UN summits. This forms part of Newport’s 2020 Vision, a master plan of citywide regeneration schemes and projects.
